A Welcoming Space for Families
The Little Blue House is a vibrant and welcoming physical community hub in East Palo Alto, managed by RISE. We provide caregivers of children birth to five — across East Palo Alto and Belle Haven — with seamless access to the resources, programs, and community networks they need to support their child’s healthy growth, well-being, and early development.
Bringing Services Right to Our Front Door
We believe that accessing essential early childhood services shouldn't require families to travel across multiple cities or navigate complex bureaucracies. Recognized by community leader Nora Razon of The Primary School, the need for a localized hub was clear: families were traveling far for critical care despite local space being available. With willing providers ready to serve, the Little Blue House Collaborative was born — bringing essential early childhood programs right to our families' front door.

To provide the most comprehensive, holistic care possible, RISE manages the Little Blue House facility and brings together a network of trusted local partners and service providers under one roof.
Our collaborative partners and on-site services include:
Family Connections: Facilitating community-building classes like Babies in Bloom and Daddy & Me.
Speech Goals: Providing vital weekly, accessible speech therapy services.
AbilityPath / Help Me Grow: Conducting ASQ developmental screenings so families receive early intervention support when needed.
East Palo Alto Library: Hosting engaging storytimes, literacy activities, and movement sessions.
Ravenswood City School District: Connecting families directly to local public education resources and school readiness transitions.
Ravenswood Family Health Center: Providing health guidance, clinical support, and wellness resources for young families.
Learning Home Volunteers: Nurturing early literacy and empowering home learning environments.
San Mateo County Services: Connecting caregivers to essential county-wide family and health programs.
CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse): Offering confidential support and safety resources for families.
Baby Basics of the Peninsula: Providing essential supplies, diapers, and resources for infants and toddlers.
